Dropshipping Core Model and Process
Dropshipping is an e-commerce order fulfillment model where merchants don’t need to stock inventory. Customers place orders and receive direct shipments from third-party suppliers. The specific process includes:
Order Receiving: Customers place and pay for orders on the merchant’s store;
Order Push: The merchant synchronizes order information (including the customer’s address) with the supplier;
Supplier Fulfillment: The supplier packages the goods and performs logistics delivery. The merchant simply sends the logistics tracking number back to the e-commerce platform to complete the shipment.
